Furthermore, it maximizes the integration between departments and formalizes responsibilities, thereby improving the time spent in closing and consolidation of management information. It covers four stages:

 

1st – General Understanding

Purpose:

  • To understand the company's key-work processes and how our systems support them.

Steps:

  • Interview with the responsibles for each key-department of the company;
  • To understand their difficulties;
  • To verify systems coverage;
  • To elaborate a mapping strategy.

  • Detailed information on the mapping strategy;

2nd – Mapping, work processes x Systems

Purposes:

  • To map the supporting work processes and systems with basis on the strategy previously established;
  • To detail how work processes, proceedings and systems integrate in the company.

Steps:

  • To outline how work processes should be carried out with the help of the responsibles for the operational departments;
  • To map how our systems support the work processes and how is the synchoronization between them (time, reliability, security).

Results:

  • Detailed maps (work processes, systems and departments);
  • Identification of critical points in the harmony between work processes.

3rd – Evaluation, Processes x Proceedings

Purposes:

  • To evaluate the company's current work processes against the systems standards;
  • To understand divergencies and particularities.

Steps:

  • To evaluate the current work processes and proceedings (systems performance);
  • To define failures between current processes and ideal ones;
  • To set priorities.

Results:

  • Work processes evaluation;
  • Systems usage evaluation;

4th – Recommendations and Scenarios

Purposes:

  • To buid a final report and define recommendations for processes, proceedings and department of the company;
  • To present an evolutive scenarios proposal for improvement of both the work processes and systems performance.

Steps:

  • To elaborate recommendations for each work process;
  • To identify impacts for departments (trainings, procedures, among others);
  • To make an evolutive scenarios scheme.
