Sustainable actions from TEKNISA SOFTWARE

TEKNISA SOFTWARE is concerned about the importance of implementing social and sustainable development. Thus, since 2008 the company has been taking actions in favor of sustainability, such as printing its documents and advertisement on recycled paper and also using recycled pens derived from milk boxes. In addition, the company donates its computer accessories for institutions that aim to reuse it.

The novelty now is the acquisition of biodegradable pens made of cornstarch that posteriorly will become humus, therefore it is possible discard them without harming the environment. These pens are capable of writing continuously for over a mile, yet after thrown out, due to their biodegradable material, they will turn into organic compost and will be absorbed by the nature. While a plastic pen will remain in the soil for about 400 years, the one made by cornstarch will decompose in six months fertilizing the soil without leaving any residues.
